What are the benefits of home ABA sessions?
- Family priorities can be addressed in the child’s natural environment (home, grandparents’ home, stores, parks and/or cars, etc).
- Family members can easily participate.
- New skills can be easily generalized to new people and settings.
- Everyday life is easily incorporated into session naturally.
Can my child’s sibling(s) participate in sessions?
- Each member of your child’s family plays an important role in your child’s learning and development. We will gladly identify opportunities to have siblings engage in play, daily activities and even tackle some tricky sibling situations.
- Enhanced social opportunities can be provided when siblings participate.
Can I join my child’s session?
- YES! Caregiver collaboration is imperative to your child’s success. Participation will look different at different stages of your child’s programming and you can help determine that need with your clinical team.
- Most funding sources require some level of participation to support Parenting with ABA and the generalization of goals.
- We welcome and invite all family members and caregivers to learn the strategies that your child or teen is learning, to better support them in daily life away from your ABA session
